The Top 10 Doctor Who Companions

7. Zoe

Unlike the modern trend of pretty much exclusively having people from present-day U.K. as companions, Zoe is from the far future.  The whole way she carries herself is very different (and refreshing) as compared to the constant damsel-in-distress of previous female companions Susan and Barbara, and her remarkable knowledge of computers comes into handy at times.  She appears with the second Doctor.

    • I don’t consider River a regular companion. More of a recurring guest star. The Brigadier would’ve been the same except he was a regular with the third Doctor.

As to Rose, I honestly don’t think she’s top ten material. I like her, and I think she’s a good character, but I just don’t think she’s as good as the others on this list. I honestly thought Billie Piper was much better in the Fiftieth Anniversary. I’d love to see her playing a character with that type of personality.

  1. Ok, I get what you are saying about River.

Now about Rose. One of the things that makes her the best in my opinion is the story development. It starts off with a girl that is basically pacifist, and a man who is out for revenge. In the end they are able to help each other out in there way of thinking, she can fight in times that need it, and he can show compassion to even his worst enemy’s.

And there is also the part that you don’t see with any of the other companions, was when she realizes that she has just ran away with a man that she dose not even know, trusting him with her life. Now she tells him to take her back, until she finds out she can trust him. And another thing… This is fun, keep it coming! :)
