As Andrew Warnes and I continue to tackle the best that 2016 had to offer us in film, we turn next to actors.
If you are a Christian and you can stomach gore and war violence, you need to see this movie.
Spider-Man is coming home, and there’s a pro-life movie in development.
“Is this the greatest superhero movie ever?”
We heard Electro, thought “cool.” Next we heard Rhino and we were like “alright.” Then came the Green Goblin and we said “okay.” Then came Felicity Jones’ as of yet nameless costumed character and we said “hold up. I though Spider-Man 3 already came out?”
“A reboot? Already?”
Well . . . yeah. After all, Sony had to know that they could squeeze a few extra million out of Spidey, right? Fortunately, the result was a pretty awesome movie.
Historically, I’ve been one of those people that’s been annoyed by people rebooting series or rebooting superheroes when they’ve barely had enough time to get hungry for lunch, much less time to gather dust. I thought they should have let Batman rest for a few years. I was annoyed by X-Men: First Class. Yet, I’m actually thankful that Spider-Man got rebooted, and I’m starting to change my mind on some of the other franchises.
